A New Space for a Growing Family

This growing family had a kitchen that needed updating, which was a perfect opportunity to open up the wall between the kitchen and dining room. With different activity zones, this will be a room the family can enjoy together for many years to come.

: Opening up the wall between the rooms allowed space for an island. You can also see the three coordinating light fixtures over the breakfast nook, island, and dining table.

: The island contains an induction cooktop, telescoping downdraft hood, spice drawers, and utensil dividers.

: Quartz counters are easy to live with at the cooking area.

: A bigger window bring in good light and provides views from the cast iron apron sink.

: We had to relocate the double ovens and pantry when the wall was removed. There is also a shallow pantry with built-in charging station next to a wider pantry with roll-out shelves.
