Relaxing Retreat Realized

Redesigning the layout was the key to this transformation. Opening up the wall between the two rooms dramatically improved the function and the feel of the space.

Natural light from the windows and skylight now streams into all of the space.

Closing up the entrance to the shower room provided the opportunity for a spacious two-person shower with a bench seat.

Double sinks and a linen closet make the space comfortable for two people getting ready in the morning. Previously this wall held only baseboard heat and an access door to attic storage.

A comfortable soaking tub with a classic faucet. Shutters provide privacy when needed.

For a little glamour, this chandelier provides a soothing glow during an evening bath.

Before, this spacious room held only a tub.

Taking down the walls around the water closet opened up the space.

A single sink and a walk-in shower were not the best use of the square footage.
